By the end of May, Fujian Postal Branch had achieved province-wide coverage of the customs clearance model under customs supervision code 9610 (hereinafter referred to as the 9610 customs clearance model) for outbound mail, ranking first among all provincial postal branches nationwide in terms of the number of deployed facilities.
In recent years, Fujian Postal Branch has seized the development opportunities of cross-border e-commerce and promoted the upgrading of its logistics model. It took the lead in piloting the “9610” customs clearance model in Xiamen in 2017, when Xiamen Office of Exchange became the first of its kind in China Post to adopt the integrated customs clearance for international mail, international commercial express and cross-border e-commerce services. From then on, Fujian Postal Branch pressed ahead with the reengineering of operation areas at the offices of exchange in Fuzhou and Quanzhou. As of the end of May this year, the three major mail centers with customs surveillance zones in Fujian — the offices of exchange in Fuzhou, Xiamen and Quanzhou — had all adopted the “9610” customs clearance model, to provide compliant customs clearance services for cross-border e-commerce enterprises.
Looking ahead, Fujian Postal Branch will focus on meeting the needs of cross-border e-commerce enterprises for regulatory compliance and data transparency, and offer supporting services such as business filing and data declaration, to help promote the high-quality development of the local cross-border e-commerce industry.
