China Post is to issue a set of one commemorative stamp entitled The 15th China International Garden Expo on April 15, 2026, with the design bearing the same name as the stamp. The denomination of the whole set is 1.20 yuan, and the planned circulation is 4.2 million sets.
The 15th China International Garden Expo is held in Wenzhou, Zhejiang from April to July. Under the theme “Poetic Mountains & Seas · Sharing Green Life”, this Expo focuses on five transformation directions: people’s garden expo, international expo, pioneering expo, cultural expo and city-wide expo, to innovate the philosophy of event organization and explore the distinctive highlights of the event. Guided by the philosophy of harmonious coexistence, the commemorative stamp features plants such as verdant trees, camellias and Ougan mandarins, together with the event’s core garden landscapes and promotional emblems. In the design, the plants and venues unfold along a graceful curve, presenting a poetic pattern where humanity and nature coexist and complement each other. This design reflects traditional Chinese philosophy of yin and yang and the ecological aesthetics of integrated coexistence. It also conveys the cultural essence that the grand event is rooted in the law of nature. Printed with high-precision offset technology, the stamp boasts a clear overall image and vibrant colors. Camellia-scented ink is used to echo the theme, giving the stamp a faint aroma of the flower. Relief embossing technology is applied to make the picture more stereoscopic and vivid. When you touch the stamp, it will offer you an immersive sensory experience of your vision, touch and smell, adding fun of interaction. The stamp is designed by Wang Ziyuan and Xia Jingqiu, edited by Ji Yixuan, and printed with offset technology by Beijing Stamp House Company Limited. This set of stamp will be available for six months at designated postal outlets nationwide, online mall of China Philately (https://jiyou.11185.cn), the mobile app of China Post, the WeChat Mall for philatelic products in the official WeChat account and the WeChat mini program of China Post Group. To present more information about the stamp, China Post will release the digital content through the WeChat mini program “Encyclopedia of China Philately and Stamps”, where philatelists can learn more about the stamp via its AR function |
