On August 11, Zhou Zuyi, secretary of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee, and Zhao Long, governor of Fujian province, met with Chairman Liu Aili of China Post Group Corporation Limited (hereinafter referred to as China Post) and his entourage in Fuzhou, capital of East China’s Fujian province. They jointly witnessed the signing of the Framework Agreement on Strategic Cooperation between the People’s Government of Fujian Province and China Post Group Corporation Limited.

Fujian is currently accelerating the building of a demonstration zone for integrated cross-Straits development and advancing high-quality development in all respects, according to Zhou Zuyi. He hopes that China Post may scale up efforts in the construction of postal infrastructure in Fujian, and actively support rural revitalization, cultural tourism promotion, cross-border e-commerce development as well as postal-related exchanges and cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan, to achieve mutual benefits and win-win outcomes.

Liu Aili stated, China Post boasts unique resource endowments and network strengths, and plays a vital role in advancing equal access to basic public services in urban and rural areas, establishing a three-tier logistics system at village, township and county levels, achieving integrated development of passenger, goods and mail transportation services, boosting the flow of agricultural products to urban areas and industrial products to rural areas, and serving integrated cross-Straits development and cross-border e-commerce. As a demonstration zone for integrated cross-Straits development, the core zone of the 21st‑Century Maritime Silk Road and a national pilot zone for ecological conservation, Fujian enjoys unique geographical advantages and broad development prospects. Taking this signing as an opportunity, China Post will leverage its own strengths to strengthen pragmatic cooperation with Fujian in improving and innovating universal postal service, modern logistics, financial services and rural revitalization, so as to make new contributions to Fujian’s economic and social development. He hopes that Fujian can offer corresponding policy support for the launch and operation of international air cargo routes and the promotion and application of unmanned delivery vehicles.

Under the agreement, the two sides will deepen cooperation in postal infrastructure development, financial services, rural revitalization, cross-border e-commerce, cultural and tourism promotion, digital government development and other relevant areas.
